Call for applicants: Volunteers for NABA Summit 2022

NABA is looking for talented volunteers to join the NABA Summit team working with executing the 11th NABA Summit that will take place in Oslo on the 29th of September 2022.

We are looking for engaged people with a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, international relations, or other relevant studies, be familiar with planning and arranging events and conferences, have experience or interest in Africa, and who are available to volunteer part-time in Oslo from mid-August to end of September 2022.

About NABA 

NABA is a bridge for growth between Norwegian/Nordic and African business communities. Currently, we have 150 member companies from energy, technology, agribusiness, shipping, industry, tourism, and real estate – all working to make better business in African markets. We organize more than 35 events and investment missions throughout the year; we advise our members; advocate for better business conditions and relations; and we facilitate the connections that make it all possible. The Nordic-African Business Summit is the Nordic region’s leading business conference focusing exclusively on African markets. Since our first Summit in 2011, more than 300 speakers, and more than 3000 delegates, have made this conference the place to be for business people focusing on Africa. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Business, Economics, International Relations or related fields

• Relevant experience from and interest in Africa and in trade and investment 

• Work efficiently both in teams and independently 

• Proactive and with good interpersonal skills 

• Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken

• A clear advantage with knowledge of a Scandinavian language (though this is not an absolute necessity)
