Brief summary from the NABA annual general meeting
The 2015 Annual General Meeting of NABA was held on 26th May at DLA Piper’s offices at Aker Brygge. The meeting is the highest decision making body in NABA, and here members are gathered with the board and the secretariat to approve NABA’s financial report as well as discussing the future prospects of the organisation.The meeting was chaired by Mr. Øystein Botillen, NABA’s Chairperson, who opened the meeting by welcoming members and guests attending the meeting. He opened for comments or suggestions to the agenda, and continued the meeting by presenting the items on the agenda.Members discussed and made changes in the constitution of the organisation (members will get an update on this in the next member newsletter) as well as establishing and electing an election committee consisting of Mr. Ole Johan Sandvær (Innovation Norway), Ms. Elisabeth W. Lokshall (Multiconsult), Mr. Ole Kirkevaag (Arntzen de Besche law firm) and Mr. Pål Dale (Voxtra).Before finishing the meeting, NABA’s Managing Director Mr. Eivind Fjeldstad presented an overview of NABA’s activities this fall. Mr. Knut Ulvmoen from the Dangote Group and member of NABA’s Advisory Board was also invited to share his thoughts and experiences on doing business in West Africa (see Access Bank Macro economic report below).
