Espen Barth Eide to replace Trond Giske at the NABA Summit 2012

NABA is pleased to announce that Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Espen Bath Eide will provide the introductory remarks at the Norwegian African Business Summit 2012. Mr. Barth Eide has recently assumed the position as Minister of Foreign Affairs, but has already displayed a significant interest in the role of Norwegian business development in Africa. Mr. Barth Eide has strong competence in the field of Foreign Policy. Before assuming the position as Minister of Foreign Affairs, he held the position as Minister of Defence. Prior to this, he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.At the NABA Summit, Mr. Barth Eide will talk about Norwegian business development in Africa. The current government has explicitly endorsed business development in emerging economies as a key component of their global strategy.We are delighted to include Mr. Barth Eide in our program and curious to hear his perspective on Norwegian business activity in Africa.
