Expanding the NABA network

NABA has become a member of the European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean (EBCAM).In a board meeting in Brussels 13 October, NABA was officially welcomed as a member. NABA is the second Nordic organisation to join EBCAM, following Dansk Industri (DI) from Denmark. The European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean (EBCAM) was founded in 1973 by seven European private sector associations, representing investors in Africa. Through its members EBCAM represents some 4,000 European companies with interests in the African continent, from the Maghreb to South Africa, and representing over three million employees. Their activities cover the complete range of commerce and industry. EBCAM works closely with its sister organisation in the USA, the Corporate Council for Africa (CCA).NABA members will benefit from EBCAM’s valuable network in Africa. EBCAM has a rotating Presidency, which is being chaired from July 1st 2011 by SWISSCHAM-AFRICA of Switzerland. More about EBCAM can be found on their website.
