New NABA Regional Director East Africa in Nairobi/Kenya

Felix Osok is NABA’s new Regional Director East Africa, based in Nairobi/Kenya. NABA East Africa seeks to open opportunities in oil and gas, aquaculture, forestry and wood processing, sectors where Norwegian companies have a comparative advantage, and has opened an office in Nairobi. ‘Nairobi provides a stepping stone into the larger Eastern Africa markets because of its strategic location and geopolitical influence in the region’, says Felix Osok, NABA’s Regional Director East Africa. The Norwegian government and business sector alike has long experience in managing natural resources for the common good and would like to use this expertise also when dealing with both private and public sector in East Africa. ‘A majority of the countries in the EAC are rich on natural resources making it an attractive location for setting up a business’ confirms Osok. At the moment 22 Norwegian companies are operating in East Africa, with 35 ongoing projects in trade, fisheries, agriculture, water, manufacturing, financial services, and energy.Felix Osok will be attending the Norwegian-African Business Summit 2014, on October 30th at the RadissonBLU Scandinavia hotel.
