Successful East-Africa seminar in Trondheim

150 business people and researchers participated when NABA, co-organizer the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and main partner Norad invited to the seminar ”Business focus on East-Africa: Energy & technology” in Trondheim 8 March. The conclusion is clear: East-Africa is open for business!Burundi’s Minister of Energy Hon. Come Come Manirakiza and Minister of East-African Cooperation Hon. Hafsa Mossi, as well as the East-African Community’s Senior Energy Officer, Mr. Peter Kinuthia, presented the business opportunities in the region. Ambassadors of Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and chargé d’affaires of Burundi and South Sudan, as well as Rwanda’s trade and investment officer, participated in the speed-dating sessions in the afternoon. Norwegian companies like Rystad Energy, Jacobsen Elektro, SINTEF, Differ Group, TrønderEnergi, Scatec Solar, FK Norway, AguaImara and BjR International presented experiences and opportunities.The seminar was live streamed by the Swedish organization SkandikAfrik.
