By using our website and by creating an account, you agree to this privacy statement. Norwegian-African Business Association (NABA) is responsible for processing your personal information.
When using our services, information about you and your computer is stored in cookies in your browser. The information you enter may be associated with your user profile, and when you do so, the IP address of the computer you are using is also stored. In addition, other information, such as a timestamp, is stored so that we can check when you were logged in and adjust our service accordingly.
As an important part of the effort to create a user-friendly website, we look at the user pattern of those who visit the site. To analyse the information, we use the Google Analytics tool. We also do this to measure the activity on our pages and extract valuable statistics in terms of readership, screen resolution, device types, webpages directing users to our site etc. Examples of details provided by these statistics are; how many people visit different pages, how long the visit lasts, what websites users come from and what browsers are used. None of the cookies allow us to link information about your use of the site to you as an individual. If you do not want your data to be registered with this tool, you can download the Google Analytics Opt-out browser plugin.
The “Share” feature can be used to forward links to the site by email, or to share the content of social networking. Any details you add when sharing content is not stored by us but is only used to add the content to the web community. However, we cannot guarantee that the online community does not log this information. All such services should therefore be used wisely. If you use the email feature, we only use the provided email addresses to resend the message without any form of storage.
When you sign up for meetings and events, we ask you to register your name, email, phone number and organisation. With the exception of name and organisation, which might be published on participant lists, information is not shared with others. This information is retained in our CRM system until we are notified that you want us to delete it. The reason that the information is stored is that it is necessary to get your own user on our webpages. In addition, we will send you offers for new courses.
Some services require that you log in to NABA through your membership account. To become a NABA member, we require some information about you and your organisation. This includes name, email, phone, address, business name and the like. The information is stored in our CRM system, and is necessary for billing our services.
Your VAT number, address and phone number is not shared with others.
When becoming a NABA member, a public profile is created for your organisation as part of our members overview pages. On this profile page we publicly display the name of your organisation, and your (business) sector. Optionally, you may also add your website, country location(s) and a short description of your organisation to be displayed publicly. The name and email of your contact person is shared only with other NABA members.
