Henk Veldman holds an M.Sc in African Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London, and a BA in International Relations from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
Henk currently works at the Chocolonely Foundation – a corporate foundation linked to the dutch chocolate company Tony’s Chocolonely. Prior to working at the Chocolonely Foundation, he worked for three years at the Dutch start-up Koneksie and their Kenyan counterpart Kibo Africa Limited. Kibo produces motorcycle for the East African market and is the first local manufacturer of two-wheelers in Kenya. And before starting at Kibo, Henk lived and worked in the Central African Republic for the Dutch investment fund XSML.
Henk started his career at the Neterlands-African Business Council (NABC) – the Dutch counterpart of NABA – where he organized trade missions and published the Dutch-African Business Magazine.
