Johanna Strikwerda

Johanna Strikwerda holds a PhD from the University of Oslo (Political Science) with a specialization in European foreign and security policy. Currently, she works as Grant Facility Manager at the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries, Norfund.

Dr Strikwerda has extensive experience as a researcher, working on the foreign and security policy of the European Union. For her research she worked together with defence ministries in seven different European Union member states, as well as the European Commission. Before starting her PhD she worked at the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Organization for Security in Cooperation in Europe, in Vienna. Strikwerda is passionate about creating connections that cross borders, has lived in six different countries, and is fluent in Dutch, English, Norwegian, German, Frisian and Spanish.
