The Norwegian Polytechnic Society, Norfund, UNDP and NABA have the honor to invite you to the Norwegian book launch of «Making Africa Work: A Handbook for Economic Success».
The co-authors of the book Dr. Greg Mills and former President of Nigeria Mr. Olusegun Obasanjo will examine some of the challenges facing Africa´s next generation, including, population growth with improved digital access, job creation and managing rural-urban migration. They will also explore the governance and leadership options for the coming decades. The seminar will be moderated by Kjell Roland, chair of the group International Politics and Development at the Norwegian Polytechnic Society, and director of Norfund.

Speakers
H.E Olusegun Obasanjo was president of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 and chairperson of the African Union from 2004 to 2006.
Greg Mills directs the Brenthurst Foundation. An adviser to several African presidents and to COMISAF in Afghanistan, he is the author of, among others, Why Africa is Poor: And What Africans Can Do About It and Why States Recover: Changing Walking Societies into Winning Nations, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.
Mr. Kjell Roland is Managing Director of Norfund, a Development Finance Institution with the mandate to invest in profitable and sustainable enterprises in a number of the world’s poorest and most high-risk countries.
Mr. Mark Eddo is the CEO of Mark Eddo Media, a UK based media and communications company that concentrates on the emerging markets of West Africa.
Mr. Eddo’s career in international news media spans 15 years and three continents. His experience includes working as Business and Economics Senior Correspondent for ITV News in London and as presenter and reporter for the BBC, where he regularly hosted the World Business Report on BBC World. He has also presented on MSNBC’s technology program ‘The Site’, in San Francisco and ZDTV´s Big Thinkers.
