Book launch: Making Africa Work

The Norwegian Polytechnic Society, Norfund, UNDP and NABA have the honor to invite you to the Norwegian book launch of «Making Africa Work: A Handbook for Economic Success».

The co-authors of the book Dr. Greg Mills and former President of Nigeria Mr. Olusegun Obasanjo will examine some of the challenges facing Africa´s next generation, including, population growth with improved digital access, job creation and managing rural-urban migration. They will also explore the governance and leadership options for the coming decades. The seminar will be moderated by Kjell Roland, chair of  the group International Politics and Development at the Norwegian Polytechnic Society, and director of Norfund.

The book will be for sale during the seminar.

H.E Olusegun Obasanjo was president of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 and chairperson of the African Union from 2004 to 2006.

An adviser to several African presidents and to COMISAF in Afghanistan, he is the author of, among others, Why Africa is Poor: And What Africans Can Do About It and Why States Recover: Changing Walking Societies into Winning Nations, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.

He has also presented on MSNBC’s technology program ‘The Site’, in San Francisco and ZDTV´s Big Thinkers.
