The meeting will address the current political and business environment in Uganda. Opening remarks will be made by Norwegian Ambassador in Uganda, H.E. Susan Eckey.

Speakers
Douglas Opio is the Executive Director of Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE) and an Executive Council member of the East African Employers Organisation (EAEO). He holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Development Studies, a Diploma in Education and a post graduate diploma in Private Sector Growth. For the past eight years, he has been working on labour and employment matters both locally and internationally. He is the co-President of RAISE Uganda which is a company focusing on agribusiness, and the founder of DO Group Company Limited dealing in ICT, micro lending, real estates and consultancy. He is serving on several boards including the Industrial Training Council, Save for Health Uganda and Rural Research and Development Innovations (RREADI). He is a strong proponent of sustainable growth in employment through private sector led innovations.
Susan Eckey has been Norway's ambassador to Uganda since 2015.
Elsbeth Tronstad was appointed as executive vice president of SN Power, with responsibility for corporate social responsibility, environment, communications and human resources in 2009.
Previously, Elsbeth was executive vice president of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (2005–09), held a range of roles at ABB (1996–2005) and was executive vice president at the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) from 1993–96.
Elsbeth was appointed Norwegian deputy foreign minister from 2001–02. She was co-opted to the IHA Board in 2011 and elected in 2013. She is chair of the membership and statistics committee.
