Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP) – supported by NABA – will organise a energy business mission to Mozambique in connection with the 40-year celebration of Norwegian Energy Cooperation in Mozambique from the 19th -23rd of February.
The delegation will be accompanied by State Secretary Ms. Ingvild Smines Tybring-Gjedde from the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. The event will include professional seminar on how to invest in Mozambique, connecting both Norwegian and Mozambican companies.
There will also be workshops, field visits and tailor made meetings to help companies get to know investment opportunities and local partners. The Embassy in Maputo is ready to assist connecting the relevant partners together, and will prepare a reception at the residence.
Mozambique is a country of enormous possibilities, with recent discoveries of immense offshore gas with Mozambique’s strategic position towards the growing gas markets in Asia, it is estimated that it may become the second largest exporter of gas in the world. In the renewable energy sector, private sector companies are now just starting to tap into production of electricity.
