Ms. Natznet Tesfay

Executive Director, IHS Markit

Ms. Natznet Tesfay is the Executive Director of Africa Analysis for IHS Markit’s Economics and Country Risk business unit. Her areas of specialization include analysis of political developments affecting the offshore energy sector in West Africa, particularly Nigeria; commercial developments, especially in mining, energy, and infrastructure in East Africa; and piracy risks in the Gulf of Aden and Gulf of Guinea. Ms. Tesfay leads development of the Africa 'All Source' Open Source (OSINT) inputs and risk indicator and horizon scanning infrastructure, drawing on a range of indicators and analytics methodologies, such as geospatial analysis and scenario modeling techniques. She works closely with clients on tailored country entry and risk management projects in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. Previously, while working at Exclusive Analysis, she had advised on the development of free trade zones, foreign policy and the mining sector in the Horn of Africa. Ms. Tesfay's degrees include a Bachelor of Arts in Government and African Studies from Harvard University in the United States, and a Master of Science in Urbanization and Development from the London School of Economics (LSE), United Kingdom.

Mr. Neil Jamieson Fraser

Head of our Noble Denton Marine Services in UK and Africa, DNV GL

Mr. Neil Jamieson Fraser is a Chartered Engineer with over 30 years Engineering / Management experience. His career has progressed from becoming an Engineering Apprentice, through University education, to a Senior Management position within a Global Risk Management organisation.
During this evolution, he has held several Technical, Project Management and Managerial positions related to the Oil, Gas & Marine Industries.

Specific areas of expertise include floating production and exploration assets, through concept evaluation, design and construction, hook up & commissioning and in-service operations.
Neil has spent a total of 8 years managing overseas operations equally spread between West Africa and South America. He is currently responsible for DNV GL ‘s Oil & Gas Operations in West Africa.

Award-winning energy & finance professional with over 12 years professional experience. Well-versed in nurturing senior private & public sector relationships in energy and infrastructure, providing strategic & technical direction on projects in Africa, mobilising and coordinating multi-stakeholder teams and harnessing industry networks and business relationships in Africa and globally across; gas-to-power, oil and gas, infrastructure, utilities, & renewables projects.

Mr. John Hamilton

CEO, Panoro Energy

Mr. John Hamilton has considerable experience from various positions in the international oil and gas industry. Most recently, John was Chief Executive Officer of UK AIM listed President Energy PLC, a Latin American focused exploration company, which opened up a new onshore basin in Paraguay. Before joining President, John was Managing Director of Levine Capital Management, and oil and gas investment fund. He was also Chief Financial Officer of UK FTSE 250 listed Imperial Energy PLC, until its sale for over US$ 2 billion in 2008. John also spent 15 years with ABN AMRO Bank in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The majority of his time with ABN AMRO was spent in the energy group, with a principal focus on financing upstream oil and gas. John is also a member of the Board of Magnora ASA. John has a BA from Hamilton College in New York, and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management and New York University
