Malthe Winje Infrapower AS
Malthe Winje is unlocking the vast hydropower potential of East Africa, starting with new developments in Kenya and Burundi. Many promising river sites remain underutilized, offering attractive conditions for sustainable power generation and regional electrification.
Through flagship projects such as the Maresi and the Nyanmindi cascades (Kenya) and Waga (Burundi), we are developing modern, efficient, and environmentally responsible run-of-river hydropower plants that support local development, create long-term value, and strengthen East Africa’s renewable energy infrastructure. These assets form the foundation of a regional platform targeting 50 to 100 MW of small hydropower projects by 2030.
