EBCAM board meeting in London

The board of the European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean (EBCAM) met in London Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd of November. Eivind Fjeldstad and Marit F. Johannessen represented NABA.EBCAM includes like minded member organisations from 12 European countries and Business Council on Africa – UK (BCA-UK) hosted this year’s second board meeting. Among the topics discussed were the visa challenges facing African business people visiting European countries. The EBCAM board has decided to give this issue priority in meetings with relevant EU stakeholders in Brussels.  Members of NABA can read more about other topics discussed in the next member newsletter.Thursday evening BCA-UK hosted a member event where Former UK Minister of Development, Rt. Hon. Andrew Mitchell speaking on ”A safer and more prosperous Africa – the role of the private sector in African development”. Next board meeting will take place in Helsinki medio March next year.
