“Den Lille Nøttefabrikken” (a bag of cashew nuts from Mozambique) is sold in Norway, and is a good example of that high quality products and sustainable trade can go hand in hand.

The project provides increased standard of living in Mozambique and better quality for Norwegian consumers. In a demanding supply chain, Brynild Group has contributed to an increased local value creation in Mozambique and secured market access for 4,000 farmers.

The Grocery Suppliers of Norway’s (DLF Norway) aims at promoting a brand’s ability to contribute to solving some of society’s challenges, and at the same share good practices and inspire the industry to exploit its position even better. The award is awarded to brand companies that can show results within at least one of the following areas: health, environment and climate, social commitment or responsible procurement.

Brynild Gruppen took part in the Norwegian delegation trip to Maputo earlier this week headed by the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Børge Brende and signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Norwegian Embassy in Mozambique in order to develop the cashew nut sector in Mozambique in cooperation with the local government.
