This roundtable will explore Morocco's pivotal role as a strategic gateway to Africa and its efforts to foster economic integration across the continent. Featuring key insights from Ali Seddiki, General Director of AMDIE, and Moroccan Ambassador to Norway H.E. Nabila Freidji, the session will delve into Morocco’s geographic and economic advantages, positioning it as a bridge between Africa, Europe, and beyond.
Key topics include Morocco’s well-developed infrastructure, such as the Tanger-Med port, and its ability to serve as a logistical hub linking various global markets. The discussion will also highlight Morocco’s active participation in boosting intra-African trade through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), emphasizing sectors like automotive, aerospace, and renewable energy.
The roundtable will address Morocco’s support for SMEs and innovation, detailing initiatives to promote high-value-added industries and female entrepreneurship. Speakers will examine the challenges and opportunities of regional integration, touching on issues like regulatory harmonization and market access, as well as the importance of political stability.
Finally, the session will discuss Morocco’s strategy for strengthening international partnerships, particularly with the EU, the U.S., and emerging economies, positioning the country as a crucial player in Africa’s economic future and a platform for global investment.
