As a prelude to the official launch of the 2024 NABA Summit, the Embassy of Tunisia in Oslo is pleased to host a working luncheon and high-level roundtable discussion. This event will bring together key decision-makers from the public and private sectors for an open and focused conversation on the main trends shaping the renewable energy sector in Africa, with a special emphasis on Tunisia and other emerging markets across the continent.
The discussion will explore ways to enhance the appeal of the renewable energy market in Africa, drawing on lessons learned from recent independent power production projects. The roundtable will focus on:
The role of NHO, the Norwegian business community, and institutions in fostering economic partnerships with Africa.
The significance of the Norwegian Government’s new comprehensive Strategy for Engagement with African Countries and practical ideas for its implementation. Investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector and strategies to make it more attractive to private investors, using insights from recent experiences with Independent Power Projects (IPPs) in various African countries. Key economic factors affecting the business environment in Tunisia, a country that hosts over 3,500 foreign companies and boasts strong credentials as an investment destination, and how investors can navigate these dynamics. A comparative look at African countries regarding the renewable energy sector.
