A Nordic Roundtable hosted by Ethical Trade Norway, Fairtrade Norway and NABA
The global cashew industry supports millions of farmers and workers, yet many remain exposed to low and volatile incomes, precarious employment, inadequate wages and limited social protection. Complex supply chains and limited traceability make these risks difficult to identify and address. At the same time, growing processing capacity in Africa is opening new opportunities to create more value, better jobs and stronger partnerships in producing countries.
At this roundtable, cashew sustainability experts will share learnings and their solutions to human rights challenges in global cashew supply chains. Retailers and suppliers are invited to join to include learnings into their due diligence processes and purchasing practices.
