Dr. Gloria Magombo

Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Power Development, Zimbabwe

Dr. Gloria Magombo has more than 33 years of experience in the Energy Sector spanning the fields of engineering, management, power sector reform and regulation. Before joining MoEPD, Dr.Magombo served as the CEO of the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA). She also worked as the Managing Director of Norconsult Botswana.

She is a representative of Zimbabwe to the IRENA Council. She was a member of the UN Secretary General’s Panel on Critical Energy Transition Minerals.

Dr Magombo is the co-Chairperson of the Zambezi River Authority Board of Directors for Zambia and Zimbabwe.
