Knut Arild Hareide

Mr. Knut Arild Hareide is CEO of the Norwegian Shipowners' Association, representing Norway's shipping industry since August 2024. He joined from the Norwegian Maritime Authority, where he served as Director General of Shipping and Navigation from January 2022, overseeing maritime safety and vessel administration for Norwegian-flagged and foreign ships.

Before entering the maritime sector, he had a long career in Norwegian politics, including serving as Minister of Transport and Communications from 2020 to 2021. He holds a degree in economics from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).
