Leroy Nyangani

Mr. Leroy T. Nyangani is Co-Founder and CEO of NeedEnergy, the company behind IZEX, Zimbabwe's first independent, bank-cleared energy exchange and virtual power plant. Headquartered in Oslo and operating in Harare, NeedEnergy aggregates distributed solar generation and is running a ZERA-approved pilot with ZETDC.

Under his leadership, the company was named a global Top 15 finalist at the 2022 SET Awards, joined the Equinor and Techstars Energy Accelerator, and graduated from Oxford's Creative Destruction Lab. He holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering from NUST, Zimbabwe.
