Angola

Angola has significant economic potential, with a wealth of natural resources, vast uncultivated arable land, favorable climate conditions, and a strategic location, but oil accounts for around 20% of GDP, 60% of government tax revenues, and 95% of exports, making the economy highly vulnerable to price volatility. The economy recovered strongly in 2024, with real GDP growing by 4.4%, driven by the oil sector's recovery and strong expansion in mining, commerce, and agriculture, though Angola has still not recovered the 10.4% loss in real GDP incurred during 2016–2020. Growth is projected to remain moderate, averaging 2.8% over 2026–28, with inflation easing gradually and public debt stabilising around 50% of GDP.
