Rwanda

Rwanda is a small, landlocked, hilly country in central Africa bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, with a population density of approximately 445 people per km². GDP grew 9.4% in 2025, following an impressive average of 8.5% over 2022–2024, supported by services — mainly trade and transport — which generated about 40% of new jobs, alongside strong construction activity and a solid agricultural recovery of 7.4%. Rwanda ranks first in Africa for business environment according to the World Bank's B-READY 2025 report, recognised for effectively translating reforms into real-world business efficiency through a strong regulatory framework and high operational efficiency. Rwanda aspires to become a middle-income country by 2035, and its governance model, investment-friendly climate, and Kigali's emergence as a leading pan-African conference and finance hub make it one of the continent's most strategically interesting markets.
