NABA and the Embassy of Algeria in Oslo Announce Strategic Partnership
The Norwegian-African Business Association (NABA) and the Embassy of Algeria in Oslo have entered into a strategic partnership to jointly organise two landmark events in Oslo this autumn: Algeria Day on 7 October 2026, and the 15th Nordic-African Business Summit on 8 October 2026, for which the Embassy will serve as a conference partner.
Algeria is one of Africa's largest economies and a country of growing strategic importance for Nordic businesses. With sweeping economic reforms, an ambitious push to diversify beyond hydrocarbons, and a young, fast-growing population of over 45 million, Algeria presents compelling opportunities across energy transition, infrastructure, agriculture, and technology. This partnership reflects NABA's commitment to connecting Norwegian and Nordic businesses with some of the continent's most dynamic and underexplored markets.
Algeria Day — 7 October 2026
Algeria Day will bring together Norwegian and Algerian government representatives, business leaders, investors, and diplomats for a full day of structured engagement in Oslo. The programme will feature high-level business seminars, a Norway-Algeria trade and investment exhibition, B2B meetings between Norwegian and Algerian companies, and an evening business reception.
The event will spotlight Algeria's priority sectors: energy, mining, agriculture, and manufacturing and the growing opportunities these present for Norwegian companies seeking to expand their presence on the African continent.
15th Nordic-African Business Summit — 8 October 2026
The following day, the 15th Nordic-African Business Summit will bring together business leaders, investors, policymakers, and diplomats from across the Nordic region and the African continent. Now in its fifteenth year, the Summit is the Nordic region's premier platform for actionable Africa-focused business dialogue.
Algeria will hold a prominent position at this year's Summit. The Embassy of Algeria will facilitate the participation of a high-level Algerian delegation.
