Successful Business Mission to Namibia

NABA led a focused business mission to Windhoek, Namibia on the 16–19 June 2026, bringing a high‑quality delegation of Norwegian companies to engage directly with Namibian industry, government and institutional partners.

The programme delivered intensive bilateral meetings, technical briefings and networking opportunities aimed at accelerating commercial partnerships and project pipelines across the energy and mining value chains.

Delegates included Jotun Paint, StormGeo, Fishbones, Viridien Group, DNV and Well Partner.

The delegation held a series of pre‑arranged one‑to‑one meetings with key industry players operating in Namibia, including TotalEnergies, BW Kudo, Shell, Galp, Azule Energy, AfriShore, Chevron, Odfjell Drilling and Rhino Resources. These meetings focused on concrete commercial opportunities such as contracting, local content partnerships, service provision and potential project collaboration; giving Norwegian companies a direct line into decision‑makers and procurement teams.

A central component of the mission was engagement with Namibian public authorities. Delegates met with Namcor and representatives from the Ministry of Mines and Energy to discuss the country’s energy strategy, regulatory outlook and opportunities for Norwegian technology and service providers, particularly in areas such as offshore services, renewable integration, decarbonisation and local capability building.

The Royal Norwegian Embassy in South Africa supported the mission and hosted a reception that proved highly successful for deepening institutional ties and informal networking. The embassy’s engagement, combined with NABA’s coordinated matchmaking, created a constructive environment for follow‑up commitments and practical next steps.

Outcomes from the mission include a pipeline of prioritized leads, agreement on targeted follow‑ups between specific companies and Namibian partners, and commitments to further technical dialogues and feasibility work. Several delegates reported promising commercial dialogues that could progress to pilot contracts, joint ventures or local partnership agreements in the coming months.

NABA thanks all participating companies, the Norwegian Embassy and the Namibian counterparts for their time and constructive engagement. The mission underlined Namibia’s attractiveness as a market for Norwegian expertise; particularly in energy transition, offshore services and local value‑chain development, and provided a clear basis for sustained commercial collaboration and project delivery.

The mission was strongly supported by NABA Advisory Board member Bjørn Kahrs, whose local knowledge and hands-on coordination did a tremendous job in ensuring the mission’s smooth execution and high‑quality engagements.

For companies seeking introductions or follow‑up from the mission, NABA remains available to facilitate next steps, support matchmaking and coordinate technical or commercial briefings.

We highly appreciate the feedback from the companies who participated in the delegation:
