German-African Energy Forum 2024

NABA members are invited to take part when our sister association, German-African Business Association, are organizing their 17th German-African Energy Forum in May 2024: “Africa’s energy roadmap: Breaking new grounds for green(er) economies”

The forum aims to identify new and re-defined action points for a strong and future-oriented African energy partnership fostering Africa’s energy potential and promoting a global energy dialogue on equal terms and with equal benefits. Key topics that will be addressed in the upcoming edition are:

9th Powering Africa Summit (PAS24) 

The 9th Powering Africa Summit (PAS24) returns to Washington D.C. from 5 - 6 March 2024, serving as a platform for U.S. Government stakeholders, the World Bank Group, institutional investors, private financiers, and advisors from North America to collaborate with ministerial and governmental participants from countries across Africa.

Under the theme Capital Flows Underpinning the Energy Transition, the summit will focus on energy project development and infrastructure, PAS will create an environment to facilitate discussions on critical topics that include reducing the cost of debt, seeking alternatives to sovereign guarantees, and unlocking the climate finance that has been promised to Africas energy sector.

The summit is dedicated to creating an enabling economic environment for Africa development, and fostering investor confidence in the continents path to industrialization.
